FAMOUS FIVE'S JULIAN'S NEW SERIES
Gary Russell isn't the only Kirrin to have a new television series. Marcus Harris, our very own Julian Kirrin, is filming a new 10 part series in Bulgaria.
It follows three Oxford students who, along with some shady Americans, chase after gold lost in the Russian/Turkish fight for the independence of Bulgaria.
Marcus plays Sven Rasmussen, a rare metals specialist hired by the group.
The series will air in 2014. We're sure it'll be pure gold!

FAMOUS FIVE'S DICK KIRRIN HEADS FOR OZ
The Famous Five's very own Gary Russell will be winging his way to Australia to produce a new 26 episode animation series for ABC-TV called PRISONER ZERO.
Although we know and love Gary as Dick Kirrin from our Famous Five series, he's grown up to be a highly talented writer, director, script editor, producer and all round production genius. Gary has worked on shows including Doctor Who, Torchwood, The Sarah Jane Adventures, amongst many others . We know he'll bring his magic to Oz and we wish him the best of British!

FAMOUS FIVE DVDs in the UK!
I'm thrilled to say that at last our Famous Five television series will be available on DVD in the UK. The last time we all saw our favourite series properly was in the 1970s, probably on old 1970s televisions or on not very good quality videos. The Famous Five has now been digitally remastered in HD and, having been shot on film originally with no expenses spared, is breathtakingly beautiful. It really looks incredible and I hope you all enjoy it!
You can buy Series 1, Series 2, the entire boxed set Collector's edition or all of them if you like from:

Jennifer Thanisch, Marcus Harris, Gary Russell and I jump at any reason to see each other but recently we had a great reason. For the first time since we made the series, the four of us got together to give an exclusive interview to the digital station, Sunshine Hospital Radio. It started in 1978, broadcasting to patients of Western General Hospital, and now reaches the rest of the world too.
Jennifer, Marcus, Gary and I enjoyed ourselves, as happens whenever we meet, found out new things about our Famous Five series and each other. Memories surface now which, often for very good reasons, we kept to ourselves at the time! As always, there was a lot of talk, laughter and food but alas no ginger beer. Our thanks to Andrew Read, who masterminded the recording. Now download our interview and join in the fun!

FAMOUS FIVE REUNITED
February 22, 2011
Sunshine Hospital Radio asked to do a Famous Five interview, so what better reason for getting together again with Marcus Harris, Gary Russell and Jennifer Thanisch? We all had a great evening round the dinner table and, with interviewer Andrew Read, came up with lots of recollections. Here's a brief taster, though the complete programme will be on soon:

Below, from left to right: Gary Russell, Jennifer Thanisch, Gail Renard and Marcus Harris.
We're all grateful that our F5 DVD is selling so well. Thanks, everyone, and viele danke, alles!
